River's Bend Ranch

Welcome to Our Ranch

River’s Bend Ranch has been owned by the same family since the 1970’s and has become an integral part of the Shenandoah Valley equestrian and farming community.

We are conveniently located near the Shenandoah National Forest, Skyline Drive, the George Washington National Forest, and the famous Luray Caverns.

Stay, Play, and Relax

There is plenty to keep you busy close by, but if you’d prefer to stay on property and enjoy the peace & tranquility of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the ranch has an endless list of activities you can choose from: horseback trail rides, fishing, birding, walking trails, lawn games, and a hot tub for those staying in the Bunkhouse!

Our cabins offer spectacular views, full kitchens, and cozy well-appointed spaces, with a jacuzzi tub in cabins and lodge.  Come enjoy a rocking chair for a while on the wrap around cabin and lodge porches in the hard to find peaceful silence of this spectacular piece of property.

Beginner-friendly horseback trail rides are available to guests of the ranch and to the public as well. Anyone 7 years old or older can trail ride, no experience necessary! We can accommodate riders from every walk of life as we journey along the Shenandoah River’s South Fork.

We also offer boarding for horse owners and many other services for the people in our area who love the horses as much as we do!

About Us

Susan McConnell Corbett with horse

My name is Susan McConnell Corbett. My parents bought this farm in the 1970s and lovingly ran it for many years. Today, I’m proud to carry on their legacy and share this special place with others.

Hospitality is at the heart of what we do. Whether you’re planning a wedding, corporate retreat, family reunion, or another special event, we’re here to make it memorable. We also offer guided trail rides down to the beautiful Shenandoah River and back — it’s a favorite experience for many of our guests, and the trail rides are also open to the public.

Caring for the land is a top priority. We’re committed to protecting our water and practicing sustainable, regenerative agriculture. It’s a continuous journey, and one we take seriously.

Our incredible staff and supportive local community make everything we do possible. I’m deeply thankful for the help and encouragement I’ve received along the way.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the ranch!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to produce high-quality, chemical- and pesticide-free products while caring for the land through sustainable farming practices. We’re committed to protecting the soil and water resources in our fragile ecosystem while creating a peaceful place where people can relax, reconnect with nature and modern farm life, and feel at home. This work is rooted in our love for the land and our hope to leave a healthier world for future generations, and to ensure the success of our family farm.
